The Sloe Wood website, (the “Site”) is owned and run by Sloe Wood also referred to as “Sloe Wood” or “we” and concerning all geographical variants of the Site in the US and the UK. These terms and conditions (the “Terms”) govern the use of the Site by “you” (the “Customer”). Your use of the Site and any purchases you make from it constitutes your agreement to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Site.

Sloe Wood reserves the right to make changes to the Site and these Terms. Any changes will be notified here. By using the site you agree to accept any such changes. Therefore we encourage you to review our Terms each time you visit the site.


Prices displayed in the UK shop (here) are inclusive of UK VAT by default. 

If your shipping address is outside of the UK, VAT will be deducted at the checkout. 

The site may display the prices exclusive of VAT at times until it determines your location at the checkout. 

Prices do not include any import duties or foreign taxes on international orders, see International section below.


All products are shipped as described on the Shipping page of the Website. The shipping transit times listed are estimates and are not guaranteed times.

We will make every reasonable effort to meet the order processing and dispatch times listed on the website, but in no cases will we be held liable to you if we are unable to meet such timescales. We may make deliveries in multiple parcels and you may receive them in installments.

Once your order is delivered to the applicable carrier company the title and risk of loss transfer to the customer. The customer will be responsible for all shipping and related charges in the event, but not limited to, a shipment being refused or delivery failure due to the absence of the receiver, errors in information provided or failure to pay foreign import duties or taxes.

Customers are fully responsible for providing accurate and truthful information including the name, billing & shipping addresses, phone numbers and emails for their orders. Sloe Wood cannot be held responsible for order form errors and any subsequent consequences including, but not limited to delivery delays or parcel loss.

If the parcel is lost due to the incorrect or incomplete address provided by the customer, the order will not be compensated. If the parcel is returned, the parcel can be redelivered. Customers will be responsible for all expenses incurred including costs for re-delivery, forwarding, return of or re-shipping of such orders.


Customers can return items for a refund or exchange if the conditions listed herein are met.  In all cases, a return request must be submitted within 14 days of receipt via our return form. Following the approval of the return request, the item must be returned within 7 days.

Sloe Wood does not accept unsolicited returns. Any items returned to us without prior agreement will not be compensated.

1. Returning an incorrect item, faulty item or damaged item:  

Sloe Wood will cover the return cost by sending the customer by email a printable prepaid return label. Or by another method we may arrange from time to time. During the process we will assess the situation regarding the goods with the customer (photographic information may be requested for faulty/damaged items). Upon receiving, inspecting and verifying that the goods are wrong / faulty as described, Sloe Wood will arrange either a full refund or exchange at no further cost to the customer.

2. Returning items because of a change of mind: Items that are unopened and in new/resale condition, with their original packaging can be returned. Please note we cannot refund products that have been used, worn, damaged or altered in any way. A few items cannot be returned and sales of these are final, notification of such exceptional conditions will be listed in the description text of these particular items. 

The return postage costs will be the customer’s responsibility. The items need to be packaged well and a proof of postage and/or tracked service must be obtained. All returned goods remain the customer’s responsibility until they are safely received at the Sloe Wood warehouse. Upon receiving, inspecting and verifying that the goods are in their original condition, Sloe Wood will arrange a full refund for the items. The original shipping cost will not be refunded.


Customers who place orders from outside the UK are wholly responsible for all customs related communication with the courier/postal service and local authorities and for payment of import duties and local taxes that may apply. 

All customers are responsible for understanding the local laws regarding the import of the products they purchase. Sloe Wood cannot advise on or supply the documentation requirements for importation beyond the commercial invoice of the products value and the description of the products.

The customer is responsible for supplying a valid phone number that a courier company can contact for delivery and customs arrangements.

The customer is solely responsible for monitoring the tracking information regarding the parcel status and contacting the local postal service to arrange for customs clearance in a timely manner, even in instances when the courier has not successfully contacted the customer for import related procedures. Sloe Wood will not be held responsible for failed communication by courier companies after providing relevant tracking information to the customer.

Failed delivery due to neglect or failure of customers to monitor their parcel status, failure to contact the courier to provide any additional info they may need, failure to pay the import duties in a timely manner or refusal to pay the import duties and related fees will not be compensated without exception. 

If the parcel is returned to Sloe Wood, the customer will be reimbursed for all items that have been returned safely. However the customer will be responsible for damaged or lost items during return transit, the actual initial shipping cost incurred by us (not the fixed shipping rate charged for the order), return shipping cost and all related charges incurred by courier or local authorities. If the cost incurred exceeds the original order value, no refund will be issued.


To exchange a product received for another, the customer must complete the return process outlined above, meeting the conditions and guidelines of the return policy and procedures. The Customer should then place a new order for the replacement product. Shipping costs related to the exchange, including the cost of return shipping for the original product and the shipping cost of the replacement product, are the responsibility of the Customer.

For exchanges due to incorrect items sent, an accepted manufacturer’s defect, damaged goods by packing mistakes by Sloe Wood will be shipped at Sloe Wood’s expense.


Products displayed may be on backorder or discontinued. Product descriptions may indicate availability as “In Stock”, “Sold Out”, or “Pre-order [expected shipping date or delay period]”. Product availability can vary continuously according to sales levels.

We try to ensure that the info provided for each product listing is accurate and up to date, however revisions or errors regarding stock levels may occur. Sloe Wood is not responsible for typo errors regarding availability and cannot be held responsible if the stock level is not as is indicated. Sloe Wood reserves the right to change the selection of products according to any limits imposed by its stock or that of its suppliers. Availability and range of products may vary depending upon the geographical location of the customer, for example, the merchandise available at any given time to European and US customers.

Customers will normally be advised when ordering if a product is on backorder. If notified afterwards, eg. because of incorrect stock levels indicated on the site, the Customer has the option to cancel the items from their order.

Customers must be aware of potential dispatch delays if their order includes an item listed at checkout as on “backorder” or “pre order”.

If Sloe Wood cannot supply a product the Customer has ordered, we will email the Customer. The Customer can request either a cancellation of the order and a refund, or exchange the product for one of equal value. No penalty will be applied for such an order cancellation. No compensation, except the full repayment of the order, can be requested.


Sloe Wood is not responsible for delivery delays caused by carrier mistakes or disruptions including, but not limited to, strikes or weather.



Upon arrival the Customer must check the condition of any Sloe Wood parcel in the presence of the delivery person and note any visible damage to the parcel on the delivery slip or make photographic records. Without noting such points, the product is considered to be accepted in good condition by the Customer and cannot be the subject of any dispute concerning its delivery or condition. The Customer must notify Sloe Wood of any damaged parcels with photographic evidence via the contact form within 3 business days so that we can attempt to resolve the dispute in a reasonable time.


The customer will be notified with a tracking number for their parcels and are responsible for monitoring the status and making a claim for the lost parcels. 

If the Customer suspects that a processed and shipped parcel has been lost they should contact Sloe Wood via the contact form within 10 days following the receipt of the shipping confirmation email. For EU and Worldwide customers please allow additional time for parcel transit and two weeks before contacting us. All losses or mis-deliveries reported to Sloe Wood after 21 days from the dispatch date will not be compensated. It is the customer’s responsibility upon receiving the dispatch note to keep track of their order.

Sloe Wood will send an email notification when the order is dispatched, however Sloe Wood is not responsible for the email mis-delivery due to an incorrect email address supplied by the customer or the customer’s own email settings such as spam filters. It is the customer’s responsibility to receive the emails and check the tracking information to follow up the status of the order. 

Sloe Wood will replace lost parcels where possible or refund the amount paid for the products if all these criteria are met: 1) The carrier determines the parcel lost or misplaced by the courier 2) The carrier determines the parcel undelivered due to the fault of the courier 3) The Customer has informed Sloe Wood of the lost claim within the time frame requested above.

Sloe Wood will not be held liable for replacement or refund of an order if the shipping carrier records the parcel as delivered to the address given by the customer. If any parcel is recorded as ‘delivered’ by the shipping courier, all claims for theft or loss need to be made by the customer directly to the shipping courier. Sloe Wood cannot reimburse for delivered parcels in any circumstances.

Providing a safe place for the delivery when absent is solely the responsibility of the customer. Any loss or theft after the courier delivers the parcel and records it as delivered will not be compensated by Sloe Wood.


Sloe Wood will issue a refund limited to the cost of the items in case of the loss, non-delivery due to stock issue or any other reason and damage due to the fault of Sloe Wood.

Sloe Wood will not be held liable for any subsequent damage claims of any kind made by the customer beyond the cost of the goods.


Prices on the Site are listed in GBP. Prices on both sites are subject to change.

Where the prices include shipping charges, sales tax, or any promotional discounts, this will be indicated during the checkout process.

Where additional shipping charges or taxes apply or are not covered, this will be indicated during the checkout process.

Our prices never include customs import duties and these charges are the responsibility of the customer.

We try hard to ensure that the info provided in each product listing is correct, however mistakes may occur and Sloe Wood is not responsible for or obliged to honour price typo errors.


Coupons are not transferable and are not redeemable for cash and cannot be combined with any other coupons or any other offers, discounts or promotions offered by Sloe Wood unless stated otherwise.

To redeem the coupon code, the customer types the coupon code into the correct field at the checkout and the discount will automatically be applied at the checkout. If the customer fails to enter the coupon code at the time of purchase as specified, the purchase will not be eligible for the discount. Discounts may not be claimed after confirmation of a customer’s purchase on the Sloe Wood website.

Each coupon is valid for a limited time only and expires on the date specified by Sloe Wood.

Brand or item exclusions may apply for each coupon code at Sloe Wood’s discretion if the Brand has MAP policies or the item cannot be shipped to a customer’s location at a cost deemed reasonable by Sloe Wood.

Sloe Wood reserves the right to cancel orders if it cannot fulfil the order with the offer provided by the coupon code for any reason, including but not limited to, shortage of stock, import or export issues, unexpected shipping surcharges to certain countries or remote areas. 


Successful payment for an order via Paypal or Credit Cards will formalize the sale contract with Sloe Wood. Each order placed constitutes acceptance of the prices and description of the products ordered. We use secure external payment systems such as Paypal and Stripe gateway therefore we do not see, handle or store your sensitive payment information or card details directly. Payment information remains secured by Paypal and Stripe’s encryption systems. Upon placement of an order we accept authorisation of payment by these external payment providers as confirmation of the order by you. Sloe Wood reserves the right to refuse any order from a Customer with whom exists, or which occurs during ordering, a dispute, including but not limited to a dispute over payment.


We take privacy and security of your information very seriously. Every precaution is taken to ensure that your personal information is handled in a safe , secure and responsible manner. We operate with strict adherence to all applicable regional and national data protection laws and regulations.


You are solely responsible for the accuracy, legitimacy and content of information you provide to Sloe Wood. All information shared with us, including but not limited to email addresses, mailing addresses and phone numbers will be used exclusively with regards to Sloe Wood orders or communicating our news to you. Sloe Wood will not share personal information with 3rd parties, beyond those engaged by us to deliver customer orders, conduct customer service duties and oversee the website’s IT functions or unless required by law. By supplying this information and using our site you agree to this use of your information. 

Visitors under 18 may only use with assistance from a parent or guardian. Sloe Wood reserves the right to refuse service, close accounts, remove or edit content, or cancel orders at their sole discretion, at any time, for any reason.

We will only send newsletter e-mails to customers who have voluntarily opted in to this newsletter service by giving us their contact e-mail. Sloe Wood assumes your use of the site constitutes acceptance of our potential use of cookies.


Site material may not be reproduced, republished, copied, uploaded, posted, transmitted or distributed without written permission from Sloe Wood. The “Materials and Content” of the Site; its information and contents, such as logos, text, data, artwork, images, photographs and graphics is created by and is the property of Sloe Wood, or in some cases that of our suppliers and is protected by patent, trademark and/or copyright under United Kingdom and/or foreign laws.


All designs under the brand ‘Sloe Wood’, their concept and form, both 2D and 3D are exclusively licensed to Living Refinery Ltd. All rights reserved.

All other brands we stock on the site are the copyright owners of their respective products.


We reserve the right for any or no reason, without notice, to change, suspend or discontinue the Site or any part of it at any time and accept no liability for doing so.


New legislation, regulation or law invalidating one or more clauses of these Terms will not affect the general validity of these Terms. Such changes do not permit the Customer the right to ignore the general Terms of Use.

For conditions not explicitly mentioned, they will be regarded as conforming to laws and regulations in the online sales sector by UK companies. Transactions and communication between Sloe Wood and the Customer are controlled exclusively by the Terms herein.


Should a need arise to recall any of Sloe Wood’s own brand manufactured products we will inform all affected Customers by e-mail. However, Sloe Wood makes no guarantees that the Customer will receive recall information regarding products purchased on our site. Sloe Wood cannot be held responsible for losses or damages resulting from a failure to notify the Customer of a recall, or from the Customer’s purchase of an item before a recall has been issued.


Neither party will have failed in its contractual obligations, if their execution is delayed, blocked or prevented by circumstances beyond their control such as natural disasters, transportation blockages, telecommunication or network breakdowns, or Acts of God. The party affected by such circumstances will warn the other party within ten business days from the date on which the circumstance


1) You agree to defend, indemnify and hold Sloe Wood, its directors and employees harmless from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, costs and expenses, including attorneys’ fees, in any way arising from, related to or in connection with your use of the Site, your purchase of the products or your violation of the Terms.

2) The Customer is notified that Living Refinery Ltd is only the licence holder and producer of the products presented and branded as “Sloe Wood” within the Site.

Sloe Wood stress that the products, services and information proposed by Sloe Wood in no way substitute for constant vigilance by adults.

3) Sloe Wood’s aim is to provide accurate information on the Site, however there may be unintended technical, factual and typographical errors and Sloe Wood makes no warranty that info and content on the Site will be complete, accurate, or error free. We reserve the right to make changes and corrections to the Site at any time without notice.

4) The Site is provided “AS IS.” and you assume all responsibility and risk relating to your use of it. Sloe Wood disclaims all warranties, conditions and endorsements of any kind either express or implied with regards to information accessed on the Site.

No advice, information or materials, oral or written, you obtain through the site shall create any warranty or guarantee not expressly made herein.
